Forage and feast

Join us for an incredible day, foraging for truffle in Australia’s only certified biodynamic, organic truffle farm.
For the first time in 10 years we are opening our family farm to the public.

Offering a taste of organic farming, crisp air, rich soil and, of course, intoxicating truffle normally reserved for Sydney’s best restaurants.

General Schedule:
10.30: Snacks on arrival
11-12pm: Hunt
12.30-2.00pm: Lunch

FORAGE

Our paddock isn’t huge, but it is real. 

As Australia’s only certified biodynamic and organic truffle farm, we are proud of our uniquely scruffy paddock. 

Wombat holes, kangaroo droppings, wild grass and winter flowers make for a true foraging adventure.

FEAST

We will share the truffle classics we’ve learnt to love as a family.

At the conclusion of each hunt we head back to the fire pit, where our table is laden with a rich and indulgent winter feast. 

Featuring organic produce from the vegie patch, our farmhouse is vegetarian and our feast will be too. 

FAMILY 

As a family run farm, we want to create space for everyone to join in. 

Our forage, feast and family hunts feature more relaxed food, with plenty of kid friendly options. 

Our kids will be there, yours are welcome too!

We gather close by the flickering fire, crisp winter biting at our heels, bright endless skies above

Billy bounds with infectious excitement.

In hand, a slice of flaking pastry, heavy with caramelized shallots, artichoke and truffle laden gruyere custard.

Gael, our intrepid guide, regales us with stories of the illusive truffle, as we venture into the fields.

Billy’s eager bark calls us. We kneel, our noses searching. Yet the truffle, a perfect sphere of black is not yet ripe, a promise for the next deep frost.

At the next tree, anticipation hangs heavy in the air. Bulging from the earth, we nearly trip, then uncover a treasure trove of perfection. 

Our hunt is over, the time for feasting has come.

Brie oozes, decadent with jet black truffle. Warm bread is slathered with luscious butter, laced with ribbons of truffle.

Sweet nutty chestnuts are blended to rich velvet with luxurious truffle cream.

Silky hand cut pappardelle is tossed with fire roasted celeriac cream and confit egg yolk, finished with wafers of pure fresh truffle.

And to conclude, luxurious truffle crème anglaise ice cream, with crisp shards of hazelnut meringue.

By the fire, we savour each moment.
